Blacks Creek clean-up

Postby RCKSQRL » Wed Nov 18, 2009 12:13 pm

At the 4 rivers meeting I had the opportunity to speak with a lady who is part of an organization that works with the the Sherriff in the region. I discussed with her the difficulty it has been to get individuals out there to help when we are not hearing about it until the day prior. I gave her my contact information and requested that she let me know more info as it comes up.

Anywho... they are planning a clean up for Earth Day 2010 which if I correctly discovered is 4/22/09. (guessing that the clean up will be on the 24th as that is the saturday.

I just wanted to get this out here sooner as opposed to later so we can try to keep it on the radar. It would be nice to have a large groups show up to support the clean up of this area as we all know has been recklessly used by many, and not really cleaned up by those who used it.

Just an FYI.

Just got the e-mail(s)

Hi Everyone, Looks like we will have sun on Sat. Unless it is raining when you get up on Sat. Morn. the cleanup will happen. Be sure to tell your folks to bring gloves, water bottles (we'll have extra water in 5 gal jugs), and rakes.

See you Saturday.
